We started brewing almost a decade ago on a plucky ½ barrel kit in Epping in Essex, where we developed our Craft Lager and Magic Spells IPA. Originally brewing for friend’s parties, mate’s bands, and of course ourselves, we learned the ropes working with an array of different people. We still have the ½ barrel kit set up at our site in East London for experimenting but the core beers are now brewed on 2 10-barrel kits.

East London is an epicentre of vibrant and diverse art and culture. As a brewery we try to fit in and support this dynamic community in any way we can. We love collaborating with DJs , Musicians, Artists, Performers and anybody who we feel has synergy with us. We're committed to supporting the local community and giving back whenever possible. From hosting charity events to working with local groups, we strive to make a positive impact beyond the walls of our brewery.

Music and Magic Spells Brewery go hand in hand. We breathe music at the brewery and have always been hugely inspired by it. Many of our brews have been influenced by the iconic records that were spinning in the brewery as we worked, resulting in beers being named after iconic tunes by the likes of New Order, Sparks, Pet Shop Boys, Gus Gus but to name a few.

We have over the years also built a reputation for putting on raves and events all over East London, under the moniker MAGIC SPELLS BREWERY SOUND SYSTEM.

Jas Hare and his collective of electro, techno, acid house and ambient DJs have become synonymous with dancing and drinking good beer in the East End.
